De leerling overlegt op basis van het Ontwikkel Perspectief Plan (OPP) met zijn mentor/coach wat hij gaat leren en hoe. Dit wordt vastgelegd in zijn Individueel Ontwikkel Plan (IOP). Er worden doelen geformuleerd m.b.t. de streefdoelen basisvorming en de referentieniveaus rekenen en taal. De leerling verzamelt bewijzen om te laten zien in hoeverre hij zijn doelen heeft behaald. Deze bewijzen bewaart hij in Profijt.
